Ted Wong founded Constellar Capital LLC in 2006 as a Fund of Hedge Funds that was sold to Gottex Fund Management in 2010. After Gottex, where he was Head of the NY Office and Head of Asian Research, he re-launched Constellar Capital as an institutional bridge between the East and the West for the Alternative Investment industry. Prior to founding Constellar Capital LLC, Dr. Wong spent five years as a Managing Director at Credit Suisse where he held senior roles including Global Head of Hedge Fund Relationship Management for the Bank. Before Credit Suisse, Dr. Wong spent three years as a Managing Director and Head of the Equity Trading desk at Tiger Management LLC. Dr. Wong began his career and spent ten years in the Trading & Arbitrage division at Goldman and as a Managing Director at Salomon Brothers. Dr. Wong is on the Board of Trustees of the Tiger Foundation and a member of the Tiger Foundation’s Investment Committee. Dr. Wong received an M.D. from the Albert Einstein School of Medicine and B.S. in Chemistry with Honors from Tufts University. He lives in Hong Kong with his wife and four children.
SangHoon Ji is responsible for business development in Asia. Prior to joining Constellar, Mr. Ji worked for Woori Global Markets Asia Hong Kong Limited at Woori Bank, one of the largest banks in Korea, where he was a Head of Alternative Investment with a focus on sourcing and/or selling various alternative investment opportunities. Prior to this, Mr. Ji spent more than 11 years at Man Group where he was a Head of Korea since 2016 to build up Man Group’s business development. Mr. Ji joined FRM in Tokyo in 2007 which subsequently was acquired by Man in 2012. He was responsible for supporting the largest Japanese investors as a Client Portfolio Manager after working as a FRM client service specialist, focusing on various Japanese institutional investors since 2007. Mr. Ji graduated with a BA in Economics from the Kyoto University in Japan and is fluent in Korean, Japanese, and English. Mr. Ji lives in Hong Kong with his wife and two children.
Josh Jacob is responsible for fundraising, diligence and client relationships for Constellar Capital. Prior to joining Constellar, Mr. Jacob worked for Centrum Capital International Limited, where he was a MD with a focus on sourcing and selling private market investments to institutional investors in Asia and assisting in global distribution. He also served on the Executive Committee of the New Amsterdam Group where he assisted in the development of the firm’s strategic and commercial due diligence processes. Before this, he was a MD at Hamilton Lane and worked for 12+ years in their various offices. He served as the Head of Client Services and Relationships in Asia ex-Japan and Korea and was responsible for construction and management of client portfolios, operational processes and recruitment of staff. He also worked at Marshall and Stevens in Philadelphia, an appraisal and valuations firm and started his career as an equity trader at Geojit Securities in Mumbai.
Mr. Jacob graduated with an MBA in International Business from Temple University and has a BA in Economics from Wilson College, University of Mumbai.
Woeishin Liu is responsible for sales, compliance and operations for Constellar Capital. Ms. Liu joined Constellar after three years at Gottex Fund Management as a Senior Hedge Fund Analyst with responsibility for screening prospective Hedge Funds, conducting investment due diligence, and maintaining a portfolio of Hedge Funds with various strategies in the Asia Pacific region. Ms. Liu also spent significant amount of effort in building the Asia Pacific marketing team by maintaining and building client relationships with a particular focus on the Greater China region. Prior to Gottex, Ms. Liu spent several years at Goldman Sachs in the Credit Risk Management and Advisory group in both New York and Hong Kong. She comes from a multi-national background and speaks fluent Chinese, Korean, Japanese and English and is a graduate of the Haas School of Business at the University of California, Berkeley, and New York University. Ms. Liu lives in Hong Kong with her husband and 3 children.
Loretta Zhang is responsible for working closely with clients and Constellar Capital Partners management in supporting the business. She also works on preparation of business documents and reports, as well as developing functional requirement of Constellar’s systems and database. Prior to joining Constellar, Ms. Zhang spent 5 years in the Auto Finance domain in mainland China where she was responsible for credit assessment, loan approval and industry research report. Before that, she worked for a new-media marketing team. Ms. Zhang is a CFA charterholder and an interdisciplinary talent of both finance and technology. She is a postgraduate from HKUST business school with a MSc in Information Systems Management and has a BA in International Business from Southwestern University of Finance and Economics in mainland China. She speaks fluent Mandarin and English.
Yvonne Wong began her career in 1993 and has over 30 years of experience in financial services working with global institutional investors and covering alternative investments at top tier banks like State Street, Merrill Lynch, Morgan Stanley, Goldman Sachs and Brown Brothers Harriman. Ms. Wong switched to the buy-side in 2008, working as COO for an Asian event driven fund under Thaddeus Capital, and in 2016 working as CEO for a China L/S equity fund under Lighthorse Asset Management. Before joining Constellar, Ms. Wong was a Managing Director at Ally Bridge Group, an investment group with both Healthcare private equity and hedge fund entities. In recent years, she had served as advisor to some of the well-known families in Hong Kong and China on their overall investment strategies globally and asset allocation to alternative investments. Ms. Wong is very active in serving the underprivileged in the community and served on the Board of Directors and as Advisor at multiple NGOs. Ms. Wong graduated from Boston University with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration majoring in Finance. She was born in Hong Kong, grew up in the U.S and is fluent in Cantonese and English, and conversational in Mandarin. Ms. Wong lives in HK with her husband and two children.
Jose Isidro N. (Lito) Camacho is a Managing Director in the Asia Pacific Division of Credit Suisse, based in Singapore. He is also the Vice Chairman for Credit Suisse Asia Pacific. Mr Camacho joined Credit Suisse in March 2005 after a distinguished career in government and international banking. He was appointed Secretary of Finance for the Philippines in 2001, a position he held until November 2003. As Secretary of Finance, Mr Camacho led the country’s economic team and supervised the fiscal and financial sectors. Prior to that, Mr Camacho was the Secretary of Energy for the Philippines where he was credited with the successful passage of the country’s power sector reform legislation. He was also Chairman of Land Bank of the Philippines, Philippine Deposit Insurance Corporation, Trade Development and Investment Corporation (PhilExim), Home Guaranty Corporation, National Power Corporation (NPC), Power Sector Asset and Liability Management Corporation (PSALM), National Transmission Corporation (Transco), Privatization Council, Capital Market Development Council, and National Credit Council. Prior to joining the government, Mr Camacho was a Managing Director and Chief Country Officer for the Philippines at Deutsche Bank, AG in Manila. Before Deutsche Bank, Mr. Camacho worked for Bankers Trust Company for over twenty years in New York, Japan, Hong Kong, Philippines and Singapore. His last position at Bankers Trust was Head of Investment Banking for Southeast Asia. Mr Camacho became a Managing Director at Bankers Trust in 1990 and obtained Partner status in 1996. Mr Camacho is currently a Director of SymAsia Foundation (Singapore), a board member of the National Gallery Singapore, a Founding Member of Asia Peace and Reconciliation Council (Thailand), the Non-Executive Chairman of Sun Life of Canada (Philippines), a board member of Sun Life Grepa Financial Inc. (Philippines), Sun Life Malaysia Assurance Bhd, a Senior Advisor to The Boston Consulting Group (Singapore) and a Member of Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank’s International Advisory Panel (China). He was previously a board member of National Heritage Board of Singapore (2007-2013), member of the Securities Industry Council of Singapore (2010-2017), member of the Securities Commission Malaysia’s “ASEAN Capital Markets Forum – Group of Experts” (2007-2018) and a board member of Sun Life Malaysia Takaful Bhd (2013-2019). Mr Camacho was also formerly the Chief Executive Officer of Credit Suisse Singapore (2007-2016). Mr Camacho obtained his Bachelor’s degree in mathematics (cum laude) from De La Salle University in 1975. He received his MBA with concentration in Finance from Harvard University in 1979. On 2nd March 2017, Mr Camacho was awarded an Honorary Degree of Doctor of Business Administration from Eastern Asia University, Thailand.
Stanley Chou is Founder and Managing Partner of SCA, a multi family office. Started in 2001, the firm focuses on investing in Public and Private Equity, Venture Capital, Real Estate and Hedge Funds. SCA has over $1.2 billion in assets with offices in Hong Kong and Shanghai. He currently serves as Chairman of Vietnam Enterprise Investment Ltd., the country’s largest equity fund listed on the London Stock Exchange (VEIL:LN). He also serves as a Board of Director of Hottinger AG (Swiss investment bank) and The Victory Fund (Luxembourg based asset manager). Prior to this, Mr. Chou worked at Fidelity Ventures, BNP Paribas and The Chase Manhattan Bank. He is a graduate of Dartmouth College magna cum laude where he serves as co-chair of its Asia advisory council and capital campaign committee, and Stanford University Graduate School of Business.
Caffray is Chairman of MPW Capital Advisors, a Mideast based outsourced investor relations and fundraising firm connecting best in class alternative managers to regional allocators. Prior to joining MPW, Mr. Caffray was a Chief Investment Officer of Tiger Management L.L.C. and on the firm’s management committee. In this capacity, Mr. Caffray oversaw the firm’s portfolios and focused on attracting and developing investment talent. Mr. Caffray began his Tiger career in 1993 when he joined Tiger Management Corporation as the firm’s Global Head Trader and Managing Director. In 1995 he was named a Senior Managing Director and member of its management committee. He departed in 2000 when Tiger Management L.L.C. returned external capital. Later that year, Mr. Caffray co-founded FrontPoint Partners LLC where he served as Partner and co-Portfolio Manager of the FrontPoint Multi-Strategy Fund. He was named Managing Partner in 2006. FrontPoint with $7B AUM was acquired by Morgan Stanley Investment Management (“MSIM”) in December 2006 and subsequently, Mr. Caffray was named Vice Chairman of MSIM and a Managing Director of Morgan Stanley. Mr. Caffray served on the Management Committee of MSIM and on the Global Portfolio Solutions team covering clients across all asset classes. Prior to rejoining Tiger Management L.L.C. in 2011, Mr. Caffray was Chief Executive Officer of Touradji Capital Management, a $3.5B AUM Tiger Management seeded commodities firm for 2009-2010. Earlier in his career, he served as Managing Director at Weiss International Management, where he was member of the firm’s management committee and as a General Partner at the NYSE specialist firm, Conklin, Cahill & Co. He is a graduate of Princeton University with A.B in Economics and serves as a Trustee of the Tiger Foundation and Phillips Academy where he chairs the Investment Committee.
